pos 2009 and hp rp3000

Hello, I have a client who has three registers and when the cash draw is turned on to fire we will get two or three lock ups a day when trying to fire the draw at the end of the sale. When its off and we use the key we have no lockups.. we have to restart the systems when this happens. also, pos.exe is not closing and has to be closed with task manager to re-open POS 2009.. anyone else having this issue with HP OPOS? If so haver you fixed it..
