position a line exactly half way down an A4 page

I am a new user and am trying to position a line (autoshape) exactly halfway
down an A4 page, (148.5mm from the top). I have tried the "Format Autoshape"
facility, but can find no reference to the actual position.

This doesn't sound like an Access question. In Access there is a Top
property for controls. In pre-2007 Word, in the Format dialog click the
Layout tab, the Advanced button, and the Picture Position tab. I'm not sure
how it would work in Word 2007. For the details you would do best to go to
a Word newsgroup, further down the web page from which you posted this.
