Positioning sahpes against a point in a line chart

I would like to position a "call out" to a specific point on a chart.

Hi Thony,

Your post is a little short on detail.
How about adding an additional data series to the chart for that
specific point.
Then you could use the data label to hold your call out info.

If this make no sense to you or is wide of the mark then post back with
more info ;}

Thks andy. applogize about the short posting.
I've been trying to get the coordinate of the point.
Finally what i've found is using data label. and get the Top and the Left of that datalabel.
and I understand that datalabel can be position to the above of the point.
but the problem is when using that parameter from top & left, the pointer doesn't start from the coordinate.
The textbox do but not the pointer.

how can i make the pointer to start from the position of the datalabel.

Can you not simple use the alignment property of the data label to
position it above?
Or do you want to position the data label yourself at some position
other than the built-in defaults?

you calculate position of points.

If you are still looking for a solution, here's one that relies on
replacing the marker (rather than the datalabel).

Create an arrow with the Drawing toolbar: AutoShapes: Block arrows,
Down pointing arrow. Size it as desired. Make a copy of it, position
one below the other. For the lower one, set the Line and Fill to None.
Group the two objects together. Copy the grouped object. On the
chart, select the point of interest (select the line, pause, select the
point). Paste to replace the marker with the copied object.
