How can I improve the handwriting recognition in ON? Ie how can I teach ON
my handwriting?

OneNote gets its handwriting recognition ability from the Windows Tablet
PC operating system. Those components of the OS which provide the Ink
and Pen interfaces are designed to *not* require training, so that Ink
created on one computer by one person's hand can be easily transported to
and converted by another computer.

Specific to your question - Turn on the grid lines and try to keep your
handwriting neat and consistent. I've found those two hints to be useful
in ensuring that my chickenscratch is able to be understood by OneNote.

Erik. do you mean that I cannot 'train' ON that I have 200 ways of making
the 'abc'? <grin>

Pretty much, no. OneNote gets its HW smarts from the Tablet PC OS and the
Tablet PC OS is designed to be a good HW engine for all handwriting
