possible bug report: cursor's sudden jumps

M

morelweb

My cursor jumps unexpectedly to other ligns from time to time, while I'm
typing (very troublesome)

It reminds of drivers's bugs in the old times, but it is NOT a driver
problem, since it appears only with OneNote, and not with other Office
softwares. (I use -with great delight- OneNote 2003+SP1, on a Dell Latitude
D610, with XP Home SP2; and Office XP)

Any idea ?

This happens to me, too, but I've been assuming that it's caused by my hand
accidentally brushing the mouse touchpad!

Happens to me too. However, I noticed it happen on my other laptop as
well. I was thinking that it might be from one of those MS patches,
because that is the only common thing they have and both started around
the same time.

I have searched the MS website for help with this problem. Nothing. I called
my Avearatec support line and loaded latest drivers. Still problem exists. I
am finding One Note not usable unless I can solve this problem. It is so
frustrating to be looking away from the screen and to look up and see you are
in a totally different place in the document.

Odd. I'm using an Averatec C3500 and I've not had this problem yet. Any
chance you're accidentally brushing the touchpad?

I cannot speak for the others but I know it's not the touch pad.
Sometimes the cursor jumps to other parts on the screen, sometimes it
just disappears and I have to move teh mouse around to get it to show
up, usually at the bottom.

I've checked it is not due to my unwillingly brushing the touchpad;
It does NOT come from a Tablet PC driver, since I use a classic PC.
I will dig into this graphic driver idea, since I sometimes use a Wacom
drawing tablet on my PC.
....Does anybody has the same problem WITHOUT using any drawing tablet or
device ???
