I don't know if any of you have the ability to test this scenario, but
if so - please try this:
1. Using Outlook 2007 on a system that is fully patched for DST 2007 on
an Exchange Server 2003 that is fully patched for DST 2007 (OS and CDO),
publish your calendar to a webdav folder.
2. Using a Mac with DST patches (10.4.8 and Office 11.3.4), subscribe
to the calendar from iCal.
3. Check meetings that are recurring.
Specifically, check meetings that are recurring and were originated from
a different time zone than what you are in.
I have observed the following behavior:
- I was invited to meetings by users in the Eastern time zone. I am in
Central, all zones set correctly, all patches loaded.
- The meetings were recurring meetings.
- Meetings were accepted and responses were sent.
- Calendar was published to a webdav folder on a server.
- iCal was used to subscribe to the calendar.
Noted behavior: all RECURRING meetings that originated from the Eastern
time zone now show incorrectly on iCal as starting an hour earlier than
they should. This gets really bizarre when other meetings from other
users in the same time zone as me have meetings that are displaying
correctly.
- Using tzmove.exe did not resolve the issue.
I know it's somewhat bizarre, but it seems there is either a problem
with Outlook 2007's publishing of the calendar or the Mac's handling of
the DST issue when meetings originate from another time zone, regardless
of all patches being loaded.
Can anyone confirm or deny or offer ideas?
