possible incorrect installation of automatic update to office

I use a security system that warns me about attempted changes to protected
files, registry, etc. I chose to deny the operation several times because I
feared an intrusion, but I later discovered that an automatic office update
was going on. I later permitted
several more of these and the update finished. Should I assume that the
update
was not completed properly and if so how can I fix it?

Hi, MC,

Not knowing how your security system works, it's hard to tell if it
disallows an update completely or accepts future requests for a disallowed
one. Microsoft updating technology will continue to try to detect and
update your system unless you tell it to stop.

You could try to go to the Office Update web site and run the update
detection tool to see if you have all the patches you need.
