You can specify a resource as committed or proposed at the project level,
but not at the task level. To do so, open the project and then click
Tools - Build Team from Enterprise. In the Build Team dialog, set the
Booking value for each project team member to either Proposed or Committed
and then click OK. Click Collaborate - Publish - All Information. Team
members whose Booking type is Proposed will not see their tasks for the
project on their timesheet in PWA until you change the Booking type back to
Committed. Hope this helps.

I read in a response to a question that you can selectively commit an
assignment after a plan has been published. However, it did not include
instructions on how to do this. My objective is to control when time buckets
become available for individuals to enter time via PWA during my project
plan's lifecycle.

So, is it possible to selectively commit/propose assignment for individual
resources at a task level after the plan has been published.? If possible,
what are the steps?

It helps clarify what can be done, although not exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks
