post filter re-numbering

After running an advanced filter, the data rows appear
numbered, as they should, ie rows 2,4,5,7, according to
the filter paramters. Is there a way to renumber, with a
forumla, so post filtered data will show as 1,2,3 etc?

I have a formula in a column next to my data: =SUBTOTAL(3,$A$2:A2) (change
column reference as needed to referrence a column with data in every cell of
your visible range). After filtering, force a caculation on this column,
and it will renumber in order.
