Running Config of note
- Windows XP Sp1
- Office XP Sp3 + current updates
- MDAC 2.8
Error was
"Outlook.exe - No entry point found
The procedure entry point _GetIUMS@4 could not be located in the dynamic
link library msdart.dll"
Error was seen upon starting Outlook XP. Error repeated several times. Error
recreated each time I clicked on "Outlook Today" shortcut.
This error occurred immediately after MDAC 2.8 RTM upgrade, and continued
after the fix.
Some forums have posted that the error can be resolved by using an earlier
version of MSDART.DLL. I find that the MSDART.DLL dated 8/29/2002 works
nicely, but I doubt it is secure.
There are a lot of people having this issue. Can we please have an update to
either MDAC 2.8 or Outlook XP that will cause the two to play nicely?
