How can a Canadian postal code be included in the address field? It seems
the program does not recognize the postal code and lists it as the second
line in the address, rather than after the city.

What address field?
What program is "the program"?


Please be specific about what you're asking.

If you mean you have a form that a user fills out, then the Postcode field
can just be a text box, that can take any sort of data.

So if your post codes are digits like the US or australia, or with letters,
like in Britain or probably Europe generally you'll have to allow for that
too.
