hi

At present i have single columns for all my postcodes i:e ST1 to ST17 with
Other, Not Stated.

Is there an easier way in query to just have one cloumn counting all and this
will produce just one column with data instead of 20 seperate columns.

Thanks for help in advance

It sounds as if you have 17 columns that contain the same type of data.
If so, your design is faulty.

You should have a separate table to contain each postcode along with a
field (or fields) that links the postcode entry to your current table.
I can't give you further advice, since I have no idea how you would know
that ST2 and ST11 are associated with your current table records.
