Posting again - Project Workspace issue with customized SharePoint template

Hi,

Here you have the complete breakdown for the issue I am having
problems with:

1- I customized a standard Project Workspace SharePoint template
adding a subsite in it.
2- I have saved the .stp file and used stsadm to upload the template
to Project Server.
3- There is no error showing up when creating a new Project Workspace
based on the new template. When I look into PWA's Home Page, the
recently created project is not in the Project Workspaces section, nor
in the list from Operational Policies-Project Workspaces.
4- While in Operational Policies-Project Workspaces I tried to
manually create the site; I received a message reading "The Web site
already exists"
5- Operational Policies-Project Workspaces I tried to delete the site:
I received a message reading "No Project Workspace exist for
'Project'"
6- Finally, I typed the URL for the site, as it was indicated the
first time the project was published, into IE and the site is
displayed; the tab for the subsite is not available.

Many tahnks in advance

Sounds like you created your site template from a project workspace that was
still linked to a project plan. Made sure that when you save the site as
template, it is not associated to a project?

Try either of these options:
1) Use a project workspace and detach it from the project before you save it
as a template
or
2) a) From the application server, log onto SharePoint Central Administrator
by selecting All Programs>Administrative Tools>SharePoint 3.0 Central
Administration.

b) From the Application Management tab, select Create site collection
under SharePoint Site Management.

c) From Create Site Collection, give the site a Title, URL, Owner and
select Microsoft Office Project Workspace from the Collaboration tab under
Select a template. Click OK when done

As for the sub-site not existing, make sure to save "with content" option
turned on to see if it retains the sub-site.
