When we select an e-mail from our Hotmail account inbox in Outlook 2002, the
attachment is immediately downloaded. Is there any way to prevent the
attachment from downloading when you select the e-mail in the list pane?
This wouldn't normally be a problem, except for two items: FIRST, for some
reason, large attachments are terminating our connection with Hotmail before
they download completely. SECOND, our use of Outlook 2002 is frozen until
the download finishes. This means we have to wait up to a minute or so for
some larger downloads before we can resume using Outlook. We also find it
odd that there is not a progress bar or dialog that confirms its a download
that is stalling our application. This is especially frustrating since you
often revert to one of these e-mails, with large attachments, when deleting
or moving other e-mails.
