Using Publisher 2003 on a Windows 2000 Pro. I have tried to send it as a save as postscript and print to file. Publisher acts like it is creating the file and even gives me the message that it did. However, there is no file where it was specified to be saved or on the computer (did a search for *.ps). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to search for a *.PRN file.

Just rename that file to a *.PS

What size is the file?

a PostScript file does not have to carry a PS extension. (in fact, it can
cary any extension you want to give it)

And sometimes applications don't tidy up very well, and drop their load
somewhare you don't wnat.

Try it with a memorable name. Then do a search on thatname-dot-star (*), not
the extension.

Open a separate window showing the spool\printers folder. That's where the
file will first be created (as a dot-spl file). you'll be able to watch the
spl file get built then when it vanishes the postscript file should be where
you sent it. If the spl file doesn't vanish, then something interrupted the
process. Try sending the spl file to distiller...it might work fine...if it
does, rename it and you're in business.
