Postscript in Header as "Watermark" Does not Print in 2004

I have a document that contains very simple postscript commands in the
header to print the word "Confidential" diagonally across every page
of the document. When I open the document in Word 2001 it prints
correctly. When I open the document in Word 2004 Version 11.0, the
word "Confidential" does not print.

Same document, same settings in Preferences, e.g. field codes; the
document just does not print correctly in Word 2004

Any ideas?
