Powepoint Presentation size limits

I am preparing a slide-show of photographs and sounds, is there a limit on the size of a PowerPoint presentation i can put together

PowerPoint presentation i can put together

Not as such, but as the presentation gets bigger, it'll tend to be slower and may become more
fragile/susceptible to corruption.

You may be better off creating several sub-presentations that are linked from a main presenation.

And take the time to process the "photographs" properly for the appropriate
file type, display size & resolution. There's nothing more cumbersome than
dumping 4 MB 8x10 hi-res images into a presentation when 300K JPEGs will
suffice.
