Power Point 2003 and Power Point 2007 Beta compatibility Issue

I have received a power point slide show from a friend.
I was able to run this slide show on a Windows XP system (Athelon 2.0 GHz +
512 MB RAM) with Power Point 2003, but recently I upgraded to Power Point
2007 Beta and this slide show does not work. System's CPU usage reaches 100%
and the slide show stops.

I have tried converting the slide show to Power Point 2007, but it does not
show the final animations at all.

Please let me know if anyone has encountered a similar issue and have any
solutions.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Fuzzy,

If you just need to run the slide show and not edit it, I'd suggest to
download the PPT 2003 viewer (search MS downloads).
As to the problem presentation: If you can zip up the presentation and
email it to me with a description where it goes CPU crazy and which
animations don't work, that would be great. I'll submit it to Microsoft
so that they can fix the issue. You can get my email from my website.

Thanks,

Patrick Schmid

Hello Patrick,

Thanks for your quick response. I have forwarded you the email that I sent
to the owner of the slides.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Thanks again!
