Power Point 2004, audio problem

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

I cannot add the audio to my presentation. I went to insert/sound and picked the file from a CD. I cannot get the music to play at all. Can anyone help on how to fix this problem?????
