Hi everybody... yesterday i had a terrible problem using PowerPoint for
mac 11.0. I was working in a 60 slides presentation (not very heavy),
and suddently, when i changed the window to check me mail, PowerPoint
was shuted down, and my working file was lost!! I was working in that
file for a long time, so it was correctly saved, and i saved it
permanently while i was working. Result, i lost all the file, there is
no traces of the file in my mac... and i dont have any explanation for
that.

Now i upgraded my office for mac, i dont know i that will help.

Does any one of you had a similar experience, or know the explanation
for the phenomenon described above? Thanks for your help

Hi,

Every once in a while someone reports this problem in the newsgroups.
Unfortunately, none of the people who have experienced have been able to
post the exact steps they took so that the problem can be re-created.

In order to fix the problem it is necessary to be able to cause it to
happen again so that the problem can be identified and corrected.

Until someone can explain exactly what steps to take to cause this to
happen on their computer it will be a hard thing to track down and fix.

For this reason (and several others), you should make a back-up plan for
your documents and regularly make back-ups. You can still lose some data,
but not all. Having lost a whole ppt-file sounds like a terrible thing to
happen, which could be partly avoided by backing up files.

Hello all
Yes, I've had several users report the same thing when working on
PowerPoint files. I've been unable to confirm anything in common they've
been doing. That's why I'm here researching. We're a school district
using MSO 2004 with networked Home Directories on OS X Server 10.3
