Power Point presentation disappears

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I am running Powerpoint (Office 08) on a Macbook with Leopard 10.5.2. When I'm in PP, sometimes the image just disappears completely, although the program is still open (all menus are still visible). The only way to see it is in slide show view, which is not helpful if I'm still working on it.

Any ideas? I will try updating, but I don't see any PP updates in the package.

Hi Patrick -

The first update you need is for OS X - 10.5.4 is the current build. Use the
Combo Update from the Apple Downloads site:

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/

Office should be at 12.1.2, so you might want to confirm that.

If you still have the problem afterward, please be more clear re "image just
disappears" ‹ an image on a slide? A whole slide? The file window itself?

Are you using the OS X Spaces feature? Office 2008 & Spaces don't play
nicely together, so try turning Spaces off & see if the situation improves.
