Power Point Presentation-Insert Sound and music

I created a power point presentation and inserted music from a file that I created. Now I am trying to use an updated version of that music file but the power point presentation is still playing the initial, unedited file. I removed the original file from the power point and I thought that that would resolve the problem. I even created a new power point presentation but I still have the same problem. What do I need to do to resolve this issue and be able to play the updated song on my presentation?

When all else fails, rename your newer sound file, maybe something like "nameoffileupdated," or "nameoffile2" and try again.
