You could go to the Slide Show menu and choose Custom
Shows. Then set up multiple slide shows with different
orders of the slides (tedious to set up but once it's
done, it's done)

Then run the slide shows in varying order

The Powerpoint gurus seem to hang out in the microsoft.public.powerpoint group
more than here. Perhaps if you ask your question there, one of them will know
some tweak or script or whatever that will do what you want.

You might consider using one of the free websites that allow you to
create flashcards online.

There are also plenty of shareware and freeware applications for
displaying flashcards, too.
