I have an intermittent problem w/ slow PPT, similar to what other users have described (prolonged lag time for typing to appear on screen, prolonged time to scroll through normal view, etc).
However, the problem only seems to happen when I have created a file in .pptx, opened it on a machine running 2004 (one of computers at work) then returned to .pptx environment. It's like it reverse-compatibilized it. This is despite not having resaved the file as a .ppt at any point.
Is this some setting or compatiblity feature I can disable. Anything else to try (short of upgrading all machines at work)?
Thanks.
