Power Point Viewer 2003 (Ver 11.0.5703)

I recently downloaded Power Point Viewer 2003 to allow viewing of .pps e-mail
attachments. I find that I have to save the attachment to (e.g.) 'My
Documents' before it will open in PP Viewer. If I attempt to open the
document as an attachment in Oulook Express I get the following Dialogue:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." I have
tried to do this but am unable to establish what the association should be.
Can anyone assist please as I don't always want to import the .pps if it is
not necessary. Many Thanks.

First, try this link:
Changing a File Association, Repairing broken File Associations
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00355.htm

There is a known issue with outlook express and presentation files. I do
not recall, off the top of my head, if this situation exactly fits that
issue, but I believe that it does.

The recommended method is to always save the pps file to the hard drive and
run it from there.
