PowerPoint 11.3.5 Crashing every 10 minutes

PowerPoint (v. 11.3.5) has been crashing every 10-to-15 minutes today.
I'm using a Mac Pro with 1GB of ram running 10.4.10.

I'm doing nothing to stress the computer. A simple presentation --
just bullets, tables, and charts. Simple fonts: Arial and Symbol. Also
have Word and Excel open with relatively small files.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Start by closing Word and Excel. The files may be small, but the programs
themselves use lots of memory.
