PowerPoint 2000 new templates

I've just downloaded some new presentation design templates and I'd like them
to show in the Presentation Design folder when I click on File...New.
When I place them in the ...Microsoft Office\Templates\Presentation Designs
folder they aren't shown in the new template dialog.
Is this possible?
