I can't find the add-in allowing me to import multiple pictures at one time
into PowerPoint 2002.

Thanks for the response but I already read that information. It doesn't help
to download multiple photos (I have 90+) into one slide using what is said to
be a PowerPoint feature. Not very useful or user-friendly. I suppose there
may be a way to then handle and resize every individual photo but I don't see
a solution yet. As for the software developed by an individual, my office
doesn't currently have $40 available for extra software. Is there really no
good alternative answer from Microsoft?

Sorry, I don't get what you mean. If you want to import 90+ pictures onto
multiple slides (lets say 4 pictures on each slide), how is the Photo Album
feature not user-friendly? Click Insert > Picture > New Photo Album >
File/Disk.
Highlight all the pictures and click insert.
Under Picture Layout, select "4 Pictures".
Once you are done, click Create.

If you are looking for better flexibility though, then you will need to make
use Image Importer Wizard add-in. (Which you can download the trial and try
out the features)

Thank you for the additional answer. I wondered about Photo Album because the
info states "They don't import pictures... Instead they create rectangles...
then fill them with pictures ... If you use Photo Album... be sure to insert
the images rather than linking to them." I was confused - does it just
insert links or does it import stable images? I want to be able to put this
PPT on CDs, so I guess I'll just have to give it a try. Also, considering
how many photos I have, adding four at a time is some improvement over
importing one at a time. Once again, thanks.

When you insert the pictures through Photo Album, there's an option beside
the Insert dropdown button, where you can choose Insert or Link to file.
Choose "Insert" and it will embedded as usual.
