PowerPoint 2002. Design Template appears on all slides instead of first only.

Hi,

In PowerPoint 2002, when preparing a slideshow, I wish to have a Design
Template on the first slide only. I have only one slide inserted and it is
selected. I choose a Design Template and specify "Apply To Selected
Slides", and the Design Template appears on it as planned, but when I INSERT
NEW SLIDE, it and all subsequent inserted slides, have the Design Template.

How can this be avoided?

Thank you.

Thanks Lucy.

I know that one works. I just wanted to get the first slide set up before
adding the picture slides, but thanks for your interest anyway.......

Hi Andy

For a slightly fuller explanation, PowerPoint gives a new slide the same
design as the one above/before. This is especially important to know if you
are using multiple masters as it can be easier to create the slide in
amongst the ones you want it to share a design with and move it than to
create it then apply the required design (especially as clicking the design
applies it to all slides...). I'm sure you know that, I just wanted to let
others who may read this thread aware.

Oh, and as you are talking about picture slides, here's a bonus tip (that
again you may already be aware of :)):
BATCH IMPORT images into PowerPoint

Or use the Image Importer Wizard

Thanks again Lucy.

I did NOT know all of *these* useful tips! I must look into this BATCH
IMPORT business.
