I have office 2007 on my computer which i bought and installed a few months
ago. Yesterday i opened and created a new powerpoint (2007). That time, and
everytime after it, when i open powerpoint a box comes up saying it is
installing windows. It continues trying to install for a few seconds and then
a box pops up titled Microsoft Office professional edition 2003 because there
is an installation error: File not found. It says to insert the CD. I have
2007 not 2003, i did have 2003 and i think a computer man installed it for me
or it was already on my computer - so i dont have the disc, but i dont use
2003 anyway i use 2007! I try to insert my 2007 disc and regardless of what i
do it does not load. It wont let me operate powerpoint during this time and i
have to keep cancelling until it finally stops then i can use it. only a few
minutes later it starts again. This does not happen with Word.
Help would greatly be appreciated

I'm going to assume that this...

....is really the box saying it's installing Office 2003.

I would look in Windows Control Panel and see if Office 2003 or PowerPoint
2003 is listed. If it is, then uninstall it there. After that, you can
reinstall or repair Office 2007 from the Windows Control Panel.
