We have a software that control PowerPoint through COM / DCOM that have works
fine with PP2000 and PP XP but not with PP2003. The problem with PP 2003 is
that in slideshow PP sometimes forgot to draw all objects on a slide.
We have tested to download all updates from Office update, Windows update
and updated drivers for graphic adapters. We halve also tested to turn off
and on the function “use hardware acceleration†in PP .The problem appears on
all ours computer. We have tested on the following hardware.
-Toshiba Tecra S1 (ATI Mobility Radeon 9000)
-Toshiba Qusmio F10 (GeForce FXGo5700)
-Toshiba Tecra M3 (GeForce Go6200)
-Sony Vaio (ATI Mobility Redeon 9700)
-HP Omnibook 6000 (ATI Rage mobility M1)
And ordinary computer with the following graphic adapters
-Matrox G550
-ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
I hope you can understand that this is a serious problem for our business.
Because our customer made their presentation in PowerPoint 2003 and some
function from 2003 didn’t work or looks the same in the XP version. And worse
we can’t bay PowerPoint XP any more witch result in that we can’t sell any
new system.
If it is easier for you I can send you a test program, screenshots and some
of the presentation that the problem occurs on.
Feel free to contact me for more information at (e-mail address removed)
Best Regards
