Powerpoint 2003 inserting Music from File

After I insert music from a file into the slide presentation and using custom
animation to have it end after 26 slides. Is there a way to have the music
fade out rather than just end with the slide. I don't want to use the whole
song for the presentation as it is too long. So when it gets to a place
where I could fade it out during that slide I would like to do that. Can
anyone tell me how to do that.

You would need to use a third party sound editor to add the fade. Audacity is
free and good.

Edit the music in a suitable editing programe which will allow you to create
a fade at any point you want and lets you also do other things as well.
Personally I use Audacity. It is free and is very good. Download it if you
wish at the following link.
