Powerpoint 2004 audio links disappeared

K

I use Powerpoint 2004 in my lab to run experiments. The presentations consist of slides with pictures and linked audio files.

I haven't moved the files or changed anything, but for the second time now, the audio links have disappeared. The first time I just redid the links, but it happened again (after working for 5 months or so). I have no idea what's going on

Any suggestions

Any chance you started the presentation differently?
Doubleclicking a PowerPoint file's icon vs starting PPT and choosing the file
from the "most Recently Used menu for example?

Hi Popper,

This is a long shot, but try saving the presentation as a web page. Then
look in the folder that was created and see whether or not the sound
files got copied into the folder.

Another long shot is to save the presentation as a PowerPoint package.
Again, see whether or not the sound files were saved.

Let us know the results.

Thanks.
