Powerpoint 2004 convert ppt to Flash?

Michael Grant

After searching for a while I am astounded to NOT find any tools or
way to convert a Powerpoint 2004 file to Flash .swf. There are about
20 tools of all shapes and sizes on Windows, but nothing on the Mac
that I can find.

Does anyone know of any way to DIRECTLY save or convert a Mac ppt file
to Flash? I expected to be able to save or export to Quicktime with
Flash as the export format. I don't see any option for doing this.

We'd like to be able to use many of the Flash based online
presentation systems as well as embed the Flash version of the
presentation for online viewing. I'd really like to avoid having to
move the file to a PC and then do the conversion there as that's
another step in the process that means not being able to use a
powerbook on the road.

Thanks,
Michael

Michael,

Some of the pc software works by taking a native powerpoint file and converting it
Some of the software captures the presentation as your show it and then converts it.

This software does the latter on a mac

I've not used it, I've just read the features

Thanks TAJ,

Yes, I am familiar with the live screen recording software such as
SnapZpro, but not the one you mention. I'll check it out.

However, I'd love to hear from others about options for directly
converting a powerpoint file similar to Articulate Presenter on
Windows.

Thanks,
