We've found that PowerPoint 2004 will crash while opening a file that
contains fonts that are not active in the Mac OS X 10.3.5 system. Once
these fonts are added to ~/Library/Fonts/ the .ppt document opens
fine. From the PowerPoint 2004 Help:
"If you open a presentation that uses fonts that you don't have
installed on your computer, Microsoft PowerPoint substitutes fonts
that you do have."
Obvoiusly PowerPoint is NOT doing this, so does anyone know how to
tell PowerPoint 2004 to substitute for missing fonts? Thanks!
