PowerPoint 2004 design theme changes with Leopard

After I installed Leopard I noticed a change in PowerPoint that is a step backward from how I used it in Tiger. Before I could see a preview of each slide design. Now I see a picture of a slide file which is useless when trying to choose a design for the current slide. I am a computer teacher & I show my students how to coordinated 1 slide with the colors of their image. They will not be able to see the slide design once iIinstall Leopard in their iMacs. Will there be an update to correct this or does PowerPoint 2008 have the solution to see individual slide design previews as before?

Hello, there was an issue with Leopard not displaying MacPPT 2004 and 2008 .PPT files in previous Leopard versions, but this has been fixed in Leopard 10.5.1 and above. I have verified that this works for 2004 and 2008 .PPT files in both 10.5.1 and 10.5.2.

..PPTX files from WinPPT 2007 and MacPPT 2008 also now display properly in File Open in 10.5.2 and above.

Please let me know if you are still experiencing this type of issue in Leopard 10.5.1 or higher.

Thanks
-Phil

My PowerPoint 2004 is in Leopard 10.5.2 & still does not allow a preview that shows the actual design, just a useless picture of the slide file.

My PowerPoint 2004 is in Leopard 10.5.2 & still does not allow a preview that shows the actual slide design colors, just a useless picture of a slide file. Definite change from how I used PPT in Tiger that I need a solution to teach slideshow designs as I have instructed students before Leopard.

I have a worst problem on my teaching iMac where the Formatting Palette disappears under the monitor screen. This means I can not see any designs at all. I need to know how to return the Formatting Palette back to right of the slide. I hope that PPT 2008 will solve both problems. Any chance of that?
