Powerpoint 2004 does not support QTVR

Powerpoint 2004 in slide edit mode recognises a QTVR, and you can play
it in this mode. However, in slide show mode, it "plays" a QTVR as a
sequence of Quicktime movies, one after the other.

Also, large Quicktime movies play slower in the latest version, even
on a PowerBook G4 in Panther and 1Gb RAM.

How can a NEW VERSION of a program go backwards?

To top this off, I can't even tell Microsoft that they have stuffed up
because my license restricts me to this list!!

Hi Roy,

If seen several postings (and verified by trying) that QuickTime in
PowerPoint 2004 is a mess.

A new version can go backwards by implementing new ways of doing the
same old things, and then discovering when you're all done that by
making a new cool feature you broke an old standby and then you run out
of time to fix it right before the product gets released. There are many
other ways this can happen.

I think all copies of PowerPointn 2004 come with the built-in ability to
send feature requests and bug reports. You'll find that on the feedback
option of the Help menu.

It takes you to this URL
http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp
and you can use that same URL right now to send in your report. I'm sure
they know about the QuickTime issue, but you're the first one that I've
noticed about QTVR, so it would be a good idea to send in your
observations so they can work on fixing it.
