PowerPoint 2004: Flash Movies do not play

M

Marc Petitmermet

Dear List Members

Over the weekend I receiced an urgent email form a professor claiming
that his flash movies won't play in PowerPoint 2004. I received a copy
of the ppt and swf file and it is true: while this combination works
perfectly in PowerPoint X it simply does not run in PowerPoint 2004. Is
this a known bug or are we doing something wrong?

Regards,
Marc

I have noticed the same problem with videos and I have complained to
Microsoft several times. No answer. Look at the e-mail I send last week.
Hello!
I just installed the new microsoft office 2004. It looks beautiful. However,
when I run my previous powerpoint presentation which contains MPGE-2
and AVI videos something goes wrong. I am able to run it smooth and nicely
in the slide view but when I start the slide show the video stop to work or
goes very slow. That have never happen in the version of powerpoint from
Ofiice V.X. What have microsoft done? This is very frustrating for someone
that have been waiting for a better version.
I would appreciate if there is any recommendation from anyone. I have a
powerbook (superdrive, 1,5GHz G4).
Thank you

Hi,

Did you contact Microsoft Product Support?

If you do not need a personal reply an excellent way to report bugs is to
use the feedback choice from PowerPoint's Help menu. Feedback sent in via
the help menu is tracked in Microsoft's Bug database.

well, there is no checkbox to submit bugs. so i've choosen the most
appropriate checkboxes. looking through the list there seems to be
massive problems with multimedia content in powerpoint 2004...

marc
