Dear PowerPoint users,

I have been using PP2004 for few weeks. Now, I am re-using old files
some of which have grown rather large. PP04 is very very slow saving
those files (+2 MB). In contrast, PP X does save the same file at the
blink of an eye.

Are there others that have had similar experience? Is there a remedy
other than going back to PP X?

Best regards, Thorolfur Matthiasson.

Dear Frank and other PP users,

I have been struggling with the slow saving problem last weeks. I
have been in contact with the service center of Microsoft. i don't
have a solution, but it seems that PP2004 dislikes large notes! I had
the habit of saving clips from news media or a definition of a term as
a note! I can then mention the thing in class and my students can
familiarize themselves with the stuff at their own leisure when they
review the stuff later on. This procedure worked very fine in PP X.
But oddly enough it does not seem to work as well in PP 2004. When I
kill large notes PP is much faster saving (even if it is still slow as
compared to PP X!) I consider this to be a bug that should be fixed
as soon as possible and offered to owners of the program as a patch.

Best regards, Thorolfur.
