Powerpoint 2004 on Macbook Pro so SLOW?

Does anybody experience the same slowness I'm facing? It's so hard to work
with a file while I edit. Even the CPU is been stressed as the fans keeps
turning on.

My friend whose using a powerbook claims he experience no such problem.

Thanks in advance if u can advice me how to rectify this problem.

Hello

I have been a Mac user for a very long time. Started using Macbook Pro
since June last year. I have had the exactly the same problem
as you which is very frustrating. Hoping to alleviate the problem, I
added 2G byte memory card but nothing has improved since.

I did not have this problem when I was using Powerbook. Thus the new
Intel CoreDuo processor has something to do with it, would you agree?

Have you found any solutions to this problem since your first
comment/question?

Sorry for such a late response, I haven't been visiting the forums. Nope, no
solutions yet and apparently we r not the only ones. I have already given up
on this issue and try to keep my files small and minimum pic inserts. If I
really have to do a very big ppt, I use my pc provided by my company
instead.

Sad isn't it.
