Powerpoint 2007 won't close

When I try to close PowerPoint the program sends an error statement "program
has stop working" will restart. What should I do?

When is the last time you actually *restarted* your Mac? If you leave it
running all the time it never has a chance to do some necessary "house
cleaning" which can result in that type of behavior. It's a good idea to
shut down & restart at least once a day rather than continuously allowing
the Mac to Sleep when not in use.

Also, run Disk Utility - Repair Disk Permissions, then see if the problem
continues. Reply back with compete Office & OS version details if you need
further suggestions.

Thanks for trying

I have a brand new PC with Windows business; I'm using powerpoint 2007 and
it was recently installed. The other office programs are working fine.

Thanx Minyon

Aha! You have accidentally landed in the Mac PowerPoint group. Try
microsoft.public.powerpoint for the Window group. You are likely to get
a better response there.

Sorry - it was still quite early in the A.M. & I didn't look all that
closely at the Subject line of your post :-}

As David pointed out, this is the Mac PPT group so I just responded
accordingly. If you have any problem getting to the PC groups this link may
be helpful:
