powerpoint and IE

I receive a message like:

error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost

when trying to insert a slide from a presentation on a web
site to a local powerpoint presentation through internet
explorer.

ppPres.Slides.InsertFromFile "http://domain/SS/scripts_ss/t
emplate/Templates.ppt",

This only happens on a say 2% of the clients.

Any suggestions?
