Hello,
After installing Office on a new Mac, I noticed, via Console, that Word (which is the programme I use most of the time) was generating literally hundreds of error messages, of the form "cgbitmapcontextgetdata: invalid context". After puzzling over this for a while, and rooting around to find possible solutions (there appear to be none on offer), I decided to try updating Office.
The update of Office (apparently to version 12.1.7) appears to have solved the problem with Word; when Word is open and running there are no longer any error messages documented in Console such as the one I mentioned above.
However, since I was curious, I opened PowerPoint. Unfortunately, PowerPoint is generating the same type of error message in Console: "CGBitmapContextGetData: invalid context".
I've read about this, notably here (http://www.officeformac.com/ProductForums/Office/2396/2) and here (http://www.brunerd.com/blog/2009/05/04/office-2008-out-of-context/), but these pages do not appear to offer solutions. Indeed, one of these pages is quite a few months old, and I was wondering if, in the meantime, anyone might have found a way of putting a stop to the generation of these needless error messages -- or, in other words, of solving this problem.
Thanks for any help anyone might be able to give on this.
Stephen
