PowerPoint crashes

PowerPoint 2002 is crashing periodically while running a slide show. We are a
church and use PPT for songs, so obviously it is not good if it crashes
during a song. When it crashes it seems to be OK once it is restarted. Any
suggestions for diagnosing the problem?

Do you get any error message when PowerPoint crashes or when it restarts.
These messages are most helpful in figuring out what happened to make what
happened happen.

Anyway, could you also give us a few system details.
How old is the system?
Laptop or desktop?
What Operating system?
How much RAM?
How much free hard drive space?

How big are the files you are dealing with?
Does it seem to be one or two presentations, or all of them?

What else is the computer working on when it crashes?
