Unfortunately designing Custom Themes in Mac PPt hasn't been as fully
implemented as it has in the Windows counterpart. Font Themes can't be added
to or modified in 2008 as they can in 2007.
If you want to include font specs you'll have to do so in the Masters, then
resave your Theme. If you want the same Theme Colors but also want font
variations I'm afraid you'll either have to create multiple Themes, use the
Format> Replace Fonts command, or devise a workaround of your own.

Hi everyone,
Can I persuade you to try creating a custom theme and then saving it?
Start with a blank presentation
View > Master > Slide Master
Make modifications as desired
View > Normal
On the Formatting palette there's a section called Document Theme
Click the Save Theme button
Give the theme a name and save it to one of the folders (or make your
own folder)
Done!
If you save the theme into a folder, you can later click the Browse
button on the Formatting palette to apply the theme to any presentation.
If you save themes at the folder level (instead of inside the folders),
those themes become available on the Custom Themes section of the
Elements Gallery. Themes saved within folders are available in the My
Themes portion of the Project Gallery. You might expect both places to
display all your custom themes, but that isn't how it works.
These theme files have .thmx file extensions.
You'll find your saved themes here:
User:Library:Application Support:Microsoft:Office:User Themes:My Themes:...
The default organization of the folders implies that there are seperate
font themes and color themes. I'm not sure themes are that specific. As
Steve says, fonts are included with the theme, and I don't see a way to
separate fonts from colors when saving themes.
But these are XML files, so you ought to be able to open them in an XML
editor and hack away to your heart's content.
It sure looks to me that Mac PowerPoint has themes. Am I off on some
other tangent or is this what you guys are talking about?
