PowerPoint Error

Whe trying to embed a *.WAV file into a PP presentation,
I get the following error:

The server application, source file or item can not be
found or returned an unknown error. You may need to
reinstall the server application.

The files are being taken from a CD.

Do you mean that you are inserting them from a CD? Have you tried saving
them to your hard drive and then inserting?

You haven't told us what version of PowerPoint or Windows you are using. If
it's PowerPoint 2002 you might want to see
