PowerPoint file size

We have PowerPoint files that were already large (7-14 MB) posted on our Web site for download, and now they have had voice overs added and are quite large (44 MB). Can anyone offer general advice/comments on reducing file size and any ideas on how to get these files to be a workable Web product? They are downloads for teachers, who may or may not have Web access in the classroom.

Additional, the question really is geared towards advanced level options with the audio included. Or do you think we should go to offering a CD?

I'd say about 80% of the deliveries would be via high speed download.
If you want to be accommodating for the rest, offer a disc.
