PowerPoint handouts

Recently when printing PowerPoint handouts (in color) with 3 slides to a
page, the first slide in the show would not print with a frame around it.
The Frame Slides box was checked and the frame displayed in Print Preview
mode. This is the first time this has happened to me when printing handouts.
Do you know what would cause this? I can't find an answer in the Microsoft
knowledge base. I was using Office 2003 on a Windows 2000 computer. I tried
it later at home with Office 2003 on a Windows XP computer, and it printed
correctly. However, I've used the Windows 2000 computer before without a
problem.

Would that account for just the first slide not printing with a frame?

I imagine so.

We users have no control over the slide thumbnails in PPT handouts. So the
"frame slides" option should be an all-or-nothing thing. Since it's not in
your case, and since the document prints fine elsewhere, it's more than
likely not an issue with the PPT file itself. So the first place I'd start
troubleshooting is the printer driver.
