Powerpoint hates me

H

Ham Javelin

I have a Powerpoint presentation which has a mind of its own. It's
updated frequently and on certain slides, I make changes (remove
bullets, or center text, etc.) and save the file. However, when I
reopen the presentation those slides revert to the previous layout.
What gives?

Also, when I copy slides from one presentation to another they don't
retain their formatting. For example, I have a slide with white text,
when I paste it into another presentation the text turns black. I guess
this has something to do with slide Masters but ya got me.

1. Go to Tools | AutoCorrect and select the 'Autoformat as you type' tab.
2. Untick the 'Automatic layout for inserted objects'.
3. Click OK.

This should resolve the first issue.

When you paste slides into another presentation. You would get a smart tag
immediately after the operation. If you click on it, you get a choice to
retain source formatting.

it the text turns colors when you put it in another presentative it probility
because the presentation is set that way. Just hi-lite the text and go into
format, font and change the color.
