Just FYI. For those who haven't heard, MS announced at MacWorld Expo in
S.F. that they will be releasing Office 2004 for the Mac in the Spring. I
took the opportunity to speak with one of the MS testers of the new release
at the MS booth about what to expect in PowerPoint. While he wasn't allowed
to say much, we discussed two pet peeves of mine and here's what he had to
say.
1) Regarding the bug in PowerPoint X in animating bulleted lists (if you
set a list to dim the previous entry an the appearance of the next entry,
the new entry incorrectly immediately dims, too): he said he was the tester
for that specific bug and he guaranteed me that it has been fixed. Hooray!
2) Regarding the lack of path animations in comparison to the PC version of
PowerPoint: he said that the design team had been specifically charged with
minimizing the differences between the two platforms. Without saying
explicitly that path animations will be included in PP 2004, he was pretty
clear that they will be. Also, hooray!
Just thought everyone interested in PP would like to know.
